If I use the Add-ons Google sitemap, after I generate the sitemap with the option: “Sitemap is available by this link …” and I checked at News settings “Include the sitemap”, then delete the SEO names defined for all news.
I'm ussing 3.0.1 ULT.
Can you confirm if this is a bug?
PS: because I cannot save site news, I ussed solution from StellarBytes from here (thanks StellarBytes):

I am sorry to hear that you experienced this problem. Unfortunately, I have failed to reproduce this issue on our local CS-Cart Ultimate Edition installation. After generating the sitemap (the Include in sitemap check box was selected in the News settings section before I did this), SEO names for news pages were not deleted.
However when I was examining this problem I found a minor bug in standard CS-Cart. The problem is that the SEO name of a news page is regenerated every time this page opens in the storefront and it is reproduced only in CS-Cart Ultimate Edition. Maybe this is exactly the issue that occurs for you. I have posted the problem description to our Bug Tracker. Our engineers will consider it at the first opportunity. Thanks for your message.
Unfortunately in my case, the SEO name is deleting, but only when I generate the site map.
If I open the page in website, the SEO name for the news page is preserved.

In the left column I have a box with the last 3 news (in Romanian in called “STIRI”). You can notice that the SEO names are correctly stored in the opening pages (these names do not update).
Sorry because my website is only in Romanian language.
These regenerate to “news-X”, only if I use the sitemap generation as I wrote above.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell why this problem occurs for you as long as I still cannot reproduce it in my CS-Cart installation. The problem requires the investigation on your server. Please contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide temporary access to your server by clicking on the Add record link on the Access information page of your Help Desk account so that we could examine the issue.
