Hello,

Just started to install cs-cart SP3 (since last night) and this morning after having put everything together, I cannot pass a transaction.

I have a merchant account with paypal, got the permission for API, got the API credentials, entered all info as requested.

Have a few questions: under currency when setting paypal pro, do you use USD?

Is there a waiting period for paypal API to be active?

I tried to buy a product with my 2 cc and none went through. All failed. It says that username and password is not accepted (I guess the one of the credentials) which may make me think there is 3 days waiting period with paypal.

Please advise.. thank you

5 minutes after that.... I made a change and it works perfectly....

well. I made sure of my access information first, then I went live instead of test. also, don't forget to upload the paypal certificate. I renamed mine to paypal_cert.txt and it worked.

hope it helps.

regards

Hi,

Just tried renaming the cert as you said but still returns a failed order in live mode. Problem is there doesn't seem to be anyway of checking where the fault lies. So far I have ensured the following

username :set to as supplied by Api
pass :same
cert file : tried both the one supplied by API and as suggested (noticed this file was already there so it makes sense)
currency : GBP
order prefix : left this blank (not sure what is supposed to go here)

Have raised an urgent support ticket but if you have any other suggestions they would be most welcome.

Paul

delete the paypal_cert.txt that you've got and replace it with your own from paypal
I've moved on from CS-Cart to WooC******** - If you need anything I can be of little help.

maybe it is a stupid thing to do but make sure you have the API credential key and not the developer key entered into your information.

And yes, the cert you receive has to be renamed and then uploaded in the right folder.

that's all I can think of... for now

I used the API Username mentioned on the cert details (Credential: API Certificate) this is all mentioned on the download the cert screen. Where would the other one be just to make sure

you should have received a developer key via email and used it to get the api credential key.

when I downloaded the file (cert), I renamed it and uploaded it.

I turn the payment method/ups to live...

and test. what does your log says?

This is the only email I got

As you requested, new API credentials have been generated for you and are now enabled and ready to use. Please click on the following link to log in to your account and get your API credentials.

[url]https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/?cmd=_profile-api-xxxxxx

To go to our Help Centre for more information on API credentials, click the following link:

Then when I login in these are the details

Credential: API Certificate
Registrant: xxxxl xxxxx

API Username: xxxx_api1.xxxxxxxx.co.uk
API Password: 2LxxQXRLxxxxxxxxx
Request Date: 30 Apr. 2007 11:29:16 BST

I didn't need to get a developers key, just went in via profile (on my standard account) and click the API button to generate it.

Ok this may sound like a dumb question..

How established is your paypal pro account, in other words when you log into
https://manager.paypal.com do you see this on the right hand side ?

Service Status Posted Image ModePosted Image
PayPal Internet
Merchant Account Live --
Website Payments Pro Live --
Paypal Express Checkout Live --

It sounds to me like your account isnt fully active yet, if its a new account it takes about a week or so for them to activate it.

Also have you agreed to their "billing agreement" ??

Website Payments Pro Live --
Paypal Express Checkout Live --

Status: Your account is currently in ACTIVE status. You can run both live and test transactions.

Not sure about the "billing agreement" though where's that

Its ok it wouldnt be live if you hadnt agreed to that previously..
If you like, I can send you a "paypal pro" script which is standalone
to test... you may actually want to keep it as I use it for the virtual terminal, saves logging into paypal pro each time.

It works exactly the same as CS except you can enable debug information too.

Yes please, I must admit I haven't tried the virtual term yet maybe I should. Have posted a ticket but I think they are hold in Russia.

One thing, in the setup in admin there are two files for cc, one is cc.tpl and the other is outside_cc.tpl (or something) I ticked cc.tpl is this ok and also turned on https.
