Coupon / Promotion that only applies to products in a specific category

Hi,

I am trying to create a coupon such that a customer who buys 2 items in a specific category e.g. hats, will get the product for $10 off.

I made a cart promotion and added the following conditions:

- Items equal or greater than 2

- coupon code = “test”

- number of usages equal or less than 1

That works fine. Now I added a condition that says:

Categories In All Hats.

The coupon no longer works.

The Hats category has a few subcategories.

The bonus is set to deduct a flat $10 if the conditions are met.

Any ideas?

same problem plz someone tell the fix…

thanks

If Hats category has several subcategories with products but by itself is empty (no products in it), you can try to add all subcategories (Hats-subc1, Hats-subc2 etc) instead parent category Hats. As far as I know, there is no recursivity applying from parent to child subcategories.
