I always use:



www.yoursitesname/youradminname.php?cc



Works fine for me. If it is still not working I would advise you to access your site via FTP and delete all files and subdirectories of /var/cache/ and /var/compiled/ and ensure these folders have the necessary permissions set.

What do you mean not working, it just returns you back to admin main page. What does yours do, are there any errors.
