Similar upgrade done in past fro 1x to 2x corrupted all my images. I would recommend all doing a proper backup before any upgrade. It would be extreme upgrading live store…

Backing up data before upgrade is always a good idea.
In this particular case new version is installed in a separate folder or even on a separate server, so the existing data is not interfered.

Dear Joe,
Your Ultimate license will be perpetual, that is correct.
You will have 1 year of free upgrades as well.

So, how do we actually go about upgrading a 2.2.4 Professional store to 3.0.1 Ultimate? Is there a guide available yet?
From what I understand, if you change/upgrade from pro to ultimate you will then need to upgrade each year. From what I read (which I can't find now), you will loose your perpetual free upgrade.
