Hello!

A new Twigmo release is on, bringing forth several new features and improvements.

Since this release a new pricing policy is applied:

Free — for stores with less than 100 products.
Basic — $9 per month — for stores containing 101–5,000 products.
Plus — $19 per month — for stores with 5,001–50,000 products.

Read more about the Twigmo release in the blog post and on our website.

Keep in touch with the latest Twigmo news on its official Facebook page.

Very disappointed. A monthly fee for a mobile skin. Unheard of. There is a huge market if someone would create a normal mobile skin to cs-cart. In my eyes, the customer's frontend is the important one. It should not go through a third party server like twigmo! I for one will not be using twigmo.

Seonid has had one available for about a year now. Works nicely too!

And I think they will be selling a lot more of them from today on :)

Yep. This makes my decision of staying with Twigmo or doing with Seonid's addon a heck of a lot easier.

What i'd like to know is why is better to have the skin in other server? Or the skin is in customer server, and the license in twigmo server? Does it have any positive or negative impact on load speed?.

All the customers I help, would love to have a mobile version. But will be a little unusual to explain the monthly suscription. Usually they pay the license and that's it. They probably will be more willing to pay one time full software, or have it on their server.

But programming is hard work and servers are expensive, so I understand the suscription program.

There is a difference between a skin and an app. A skin is simply a different view in a web browser (whether in the phone or on your PC). An app for a phone is a certified (usually) application that a customer can go to a market place and purchase or acquire.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here Tony? Seems to me that a skin is better than an app for all parties involved. Why would you want to make your customers jump through more hoops to be able to view your site?

Just few days ago I asked support how was the pro cart improved over last year, meaning something that customer could actually feel making purchase more easy.

Support member gave twigmo as a sample, wow, benifit with monthly price plan.

I really hope pro will not be abondoned product over new toys...

I was already very uncofortable with the whole set up of Twigmo. I just don't like the 3rd party server. Not to mention how many times I've heard about their site not working, etc. The monthly fee just seals the deal. We have already contacted Senoid to see our customized skin will work with their mobile skin.

Honestly, CS needs to take a closer look at their model even for those who want to host their mobile application on a 3rd party site. To charge $9 a month for something that just does the mobile side is way off base in my opinion. Why not just go to one of the shopping carts that charge the monthly fee and include the mobile skin for $30-40?
Regards,
Jim

There was a comparison between what Seonoid did and Twigmo. I was clarifying the difference. I tend to agree that a skin is much more valuable since it can be tailored to a merchant's needs and not be dependent upon what the app provider thinks.

Very Very Very disappointing for the Saas method for a mobile skin!

Even more disappointing is that our eshop will depend in twigmo servers!!!

Maybe you must rethink twigmo and how important is for eshops to enter successfully in mobile ecommerce.

This feature seems like a good step forward in terms of audience convenience in accessing our carts - I plan to test over the coming weeks yum!!

The only question I have is regarding the flexibility of edits. Can Twigmo product functionality be tweaked?

Example: I have tweaked a CS-Cart so the front end only shows one product - on a javascript bid timer. After the timer is up the sale ends.

Does Twigmo automatically provide support for these things, can I hardcode into the mobile side or not possible?
