Quick question - Is there going to be a discount for current Professional license holders that want to "convert" to the Ultimate edition? If so what will the price be? I have two clients that are Professional that want Ultimate but we've already put out the $295 for that. Would love to do a pre-order for them, but I hope there is a bigger discount?

Thank you for working on this great product. I am very excited about this product as I have three domains that I want to use the same admin for.

I am ready to pre-order right now as well, but I have three Professional licenses. I guess I should wait until you announce how to handle upgrading licenses, correct?

Thanks,

Adam

Sounds pretty interesting. I to have a few questions.

1) How do the 3 sites connect to the main database? When we looked at a multi-store edition from a reseller we had to do some really strange things to get the sites to communicate with one database.

2) On the site where you purchase the Ultimate it only shows 2 fields for "License URL:". Shouldn't there be 3?

3) I too already have 3 professional license, do I upgrade those in to this? If so, does it continue the free upgrades for those who bought before 2008?

4) Is there a demo site of what you have so far? I'm not so sure I want to purchase something without having a sample of what it looks like, etc.
Regards,
Jim

Jim,

If I've read correctly, I believe this is for 2 licenses. Kind of not the great deal I was hoping for. CS-Cart was talking about 4 licenses and I thought that sounded awesome, but now they've reduced it to 2 licenses. Now it isn't quite as awesome as it was.

Each additional license after the initial 2 are $195 each.

Thanks,

Brandon

Hello all!

Here's some information from our blog about converting the licenses:

It will be possible to exchange a CS-Cart Professional licenses to Ultimate domain ones with no additional fee. If you have, say, 2 Professional licenses and bought CS-Cart Ultimate (with 2 domain licenses), you can convert the first ones and get a CS-Cart Ultimate with 4 storefronts. Of course, data from these 2 CS-Cart Professional installation can be imported as well.

The details on the possibility to exchange a Professional license to an Ultimate one will be announced later.

To Clips:

2) On the site where you purchase the Ultimate it only shows 2 fields for "License URL:". Shouldn't there be 3?

You should enter the domain names for the storefront licenses, the domain for the core license is not needed.

4) Is there a demo site of what you have so far? I'm not so sure I want to purchase something without having a sample of what it looks like, etc.

Unfortunately, we do not have a demo site yet, it will be available later.

But you can try the beta version: https://www.cs-cart.com/trial.html

What about those of use who have lifetime licenses for our Pro versions? If we convert them over to the Ultimate edition, do we lose our lifetime updates?

Thanks,

Brandon

What if you run a multi-vendor edition?
Do you need a separate licence?

So this is still confusing. What exactly is the "core"? Is this a domain too? Does this mean when you purchase the multi store that it includes 2 storefronts or 3 storefronts?

Hello all!

I am sorry for not answering all the questions, unfortunately, I do not have all the necessary information yet.

Is this for the domain1.com, domain2.com etc etc unique domains all running off one admin?

Yes, exactly. But the standard package includes only two domains, to add more you will need to purchase additional storefront licenses.

What if you run a multi-vendor edition?
Do you need a separate licence?

Yes. CS-Cart Multi-Vendor is a separate edition and there will not be the ability to upgrade its license to CS-Cart Ultimate.

So this is still confusing. What exactly is the "core"? Is this a domain too? Does this mean when you purchase the multi store that it includes 2 storefronts or 3 storefronts?

2 storefronts are included into the standard package. I believe, the core domain will be the same as one of the storefront domains. Also, it is not necessary to use different domains, you can use two subdomains, for example.

Hi

Will I need to buy seperate SSL certs for each store?

Will the system use one payment gateway to process payments from all sites through a core domain? Or will I have to apply for seperate payments gateways for each of me stores?

Thanks

I'm still waiting to hear about the Pro to Ultimate upgrade pricing? What I want to know is will it be cheaper to buy the current discount new license at $495 or will there be a cheaper price for upgraders as opposed to a whole new license?

Hello,

I'm very interested in the ultimate version but only when i have the ability to add canonical url's to a product and a category.

Is this option added? Does anybody know this?

Greetings

Hi,

Yes, upgrading from Pro to Ultimate will be cheaper than purchasing a new Ultimate license. The details will be published soon, so stay tuned!
