Same Titled Products

I had a question regarding product pages. Suppose I have 2 products with the same name but different configuration, is there a way to show them on the same page, instead of having 2 separate URLs generated with a # in the URL?

Example:

Product 1 - Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive

Product 2 - Seagate Barracude 500GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive

Is there a way to show both of these on a single page titled Seagate Barracuda Hard Drives and have both listings? But this has to be at the product level, I know it is possible in the category level, but I want to know if this can be done at the product level.

Thank you.

Production Option?

Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive

Option 1 = 320GB 7200 RPM

Option 2 = 500GB 5400 RPM

Yea that is what I had thought, but here's the thing, the way I am setting up the inventory, I am putting capacity, speed etc. in different fields, so it would be easy to filter them. But if I use the product option, isn't that just one field? If people want to filter by capacity they will be unable to do so, is the way I understood that correct?

isnt this what u need.

John, that led to a 404 page when I tried it.

No, you can set up several options, one for each aspect of product. Ex: color, size, type, etc. In your case, size and speed would do the trick.

THAT, my friend andup, is what I am talking about here. It's driving me NUTS.

Sorry, it is just a link to the demo cs cart site and then the build your own PC banner.

That's a multi-product option, you can add accessories to a main product. I am trying to have the same product with different configuration, anyway I will mess around with it and see if it can suit my purpose. Also whatever the method is, it has to be importable, because I will have thousands of items like these.

Thanks for the responses so far.

I have various sites all with options, getting them to import size, colour etc not a problem but getting them imported with price modifications noooo, noooooo. I had a mod done by CS cart wg=hic is available here on the forums I posted a while back option modifiers or something, but as ever upgrades ruined the mod so I stuck with the old scroipts for now with some of the sites. I think Glen and others had a go at updating it to allow mofier imports for other versions but I am unsure where it is up to now. Good luck and let us know if you sort something.

Sounds like storekeeper said that std options are OK for you but if you have many price variations this will kill you without a import option.
