Reward Points Posting

Is there a problem with posting reward points using 2.1.4 version? I have tried a few time to test posting of points with dummy orders changing status to complete with no result posting, viewing user>customers>id>view user points. Logging in under the customer email, orders are there, no points showing up either. Should the points posting be instantaneous to user account when order status changed to complete?



Also, is there a way to bulk change add-on>reward points> to on for all products? Instead of going thru them one by one. I added reward points program admin>add-on>reward points>enable after I created all the products.

Yes, reward points should be added to a user's account after an order gets the “Completed” status. The problem requires the investigation on your server. Please contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide us with a temporary access to your server.

Other question:

Is there a way to automatically set up customer as active in user group when someone signups as a customer? Or do I always have to go into customer record and change user groups to active all the time?

I have reward points add on installed and i want to set some products without points.

There is a Reward Points tab for each product.

There you can “not allow” payment by points, override the price in points and override the points earned per product.

Basically, you have to do this at the product level for each product you want to make an exception.



I use Reward Points. My customers seem to appreciate them and they stimulate re-orders.



I just wish there was a Newsletter feature that allowed me to send a message to all the users that have points on their account, reminding them to take advantage of the points, and really do a promotional push on this terrific marketing feature that CS-Cart has built into it - like you can with Abandoned Carts. I mean, how much trouble would it be to include “Customers with abandoned Reward Points” in the options for the Newsletter recipients?

Even if we could export the rewards points balance to a .csv file in the Export tool. Then we could do something manually every now and then. Maybe there is a way to do it but I can't find it, or maybe in the newer version there is a way.

Reward Points balances are stored in the 'user_data' table with user_id, type=W.

You certainly could export them from there manually. If you joined them to the user table you could generate a mailing list.

I don't see a way for the customer to see their balance of rewards points, unless they put something in the cart, and then attempt to checkout. Does anyone know how a registered customer can track their rewards points?

After login, the customer will see their reward points balance. Click it and they will see the rewards log.

Thanks for the reply cartfix, but I logged in as one of my customers, who has placed orders in the past and has accumulated points. Nowhere does it show their balance of points, until they add something to the cart, and then view the shopping cart. Where are you seeing this reward balance?
