Hello everyone,
Hoping someone can help me with this. I tried running the upgrade process to upgrade my shop from CS Cart 2.1.4 to 2.2.1 and it seemed to be going well but when the backups and what not completed I logged into my admin control panel and it looked like there was no design or layout on the page. There were just text menus everywhere. I didn't receive any errors that I know of.
I went ahead and reverted back to my original installation until i can get some assistance with this.

Please try to reload the page. Press Ctrl+R or F5. It seems the old CSS files are cached in your browser.
The same thing happened to me. I waited several minutes, logged in and out of admin, closed my browser and started again and it fixed itself. I use firefox.
Well, I was going to try what you suggested but now for some reason I don't see the upgrade package being available.

I am having the same problem…
I clicked upgrade, there was an error during download,
It sill says "Notice A new version of CS-Cart is available! Please update now. "
but when I click it, it says “No upgrades currently available”

Since recently, we gradually provide our customers with an upgrade package in order to avoid high workload of our technical support department in case of any problems with upgrading. The upgrade package should be available to all CS-Cart owners in next 3 days. Please check it from time to time (click on the “refresh packages list” link on the “Upgrade center” page of your CS-Cart admin panel).

Thanks for the information. The upgrade became available for me. Got it working. Thanks again.
I just upgraded the store to this version. during install it kept telling me the FTp login was incorrect but it still installed. Now it keeps telling me there's an update but there is no package available. Any way to get rid of the upgrade nagger?
Admin looks great BTW,

The online update sometimes does not work or returns errors.
There are a lot of customers who prefer to update manually.
Is there a way to download only the diff packages as was for the 1.3.x versions?

It seems that the problem occurred because of the incorrect templates cache storage. Please try to clear it, by opening this link: http://www.your_domain.com/admin.php?cc where “www.your_domain.com” is the address of your store and where admin.php is a script file for the administration panel of your store that was renamed for security reasons.
Please note that before cleaning the templates cache you should be logged in to the administration panel of your store.

CS-Cart installation 2.2.1 is a new branch of CS-Cart releases. Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade your store manually.

Sort by “Newly added” in catalog and having random product in block feature by default ever ?

Personal experience with new admin panel.
Editing product from admin panel is just like scrolling all day long, with old basic skin it took 2 scrolls to get to bottom of page with new 3 or more… I got a 24inch huge screen and nothing fits in it will have to use it vertically. Is it possible to use new admin panel with 17" screen at all?
Personally I add at least 30-50new product every day by hand, so speed and ergonomics is critical for me, removing old admin skin will impact my productivity.
How many minutes it takes to add new category to product from category list popup? Why everything is so spacious and big?
Got fast PC with 100Mbit line connection and still everything looks very slo.
Why is WYSIWYG in admin product edit page is enabled by default?

Yea I noticed.
I remember the days of 135 cs-cart, if you compared it to latest release it would be like on steroids 
(speaking about visuals only)

i just installed the upgrade today and was given an admin page that was totally distorted and still said there are upgrades aval. when i tried to upgrade it says no updates aval .

The same problem solved with the conbinacion CTRL + R
thanks clearing the cache worked.
I was having the same issue, until I googled and came across this post.
Clearing the cache worked for me as well!!
