Hi, we are soon to launch a website in the USA and need a US credit card merchant.

Anyone got recommendations on a good merchant that also hooks nicely into CS Cart?

Secondly, if there is a merchant that can settle funds into an international account that would be great too.

Thanks,

Scott.

For the gateway part I highly recommend Authorize.net
They can also set you up with payment processing services or recommend other firms for it.
Authorize.net works flawlessly with CS-Cart

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been considering Authorize.net

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott.

Anet will NOT support a foreign bank. I think you'll find that most US based payment processors also do not support foreign banks.

Why do you need a US based processor?

Also note the difference between a Merchant Account (or merchant services) and a payment processor. You can obtain merchant services through your US bank or if you have a good credit history (US) then there are several I could recommend. If you sell products that most payment processors deem as "risky" (drugs/supplements, porn, etc.) or do not have a US bank, then I have one person I can recommend to you who specializes in "difficult situations".

Your Merchant Service provider will determine what payment processors are available to you. Anet probably supports the most in US. But they're not the cheapest, but they have good support and they are probably the most widespread.

Hi Tony, thanks for the reply. Since my first post, my accountant in the USA has managed to start the process of our company opening a US bank account, so I wont require a cc merchant who might settle into a foreign account.

Why do you need a US based processor?

Because we are launching a dedicated US website with stock housed locally in a fulfillment house. We gone through the whole process of registering the LLC, obtaining an FEIN, registering for state tax, the whole lot.. - Your US cc merchants accept more types of credit cards than we do here in Australia. Also, the customers funds transact in their currency, not against an exchange rate.

We've worked with tons and my absolute favorite is Payjunction. They have the best online control panel and virtual terminal out of anyone. They can provide the merchant account, or you can bring your own.

You can find their info here: http://www.payjunction.com

My second choice is e-onlinedata.com. They provide the merchant account and an Authorize.net account and have very competitive rates.

Hi jgaris...You mention PayJunction and e-onlinedata.com. Which is the better choice in both service and low fees? (Both monthly and transaction fees).

PayJunction is actually a gateway like Authorize.net but they also offer a merchant account. e-Onlinedata is a merchant account that also offers Authorize.net as a gateway.

I like the PayJunction gateway better than Authorize.net, it's online interface is hands down the best in the industry. You can also use it with any merchant account that accepts a vital terminal file. So you can shop for the best rates, and choose that way or you can simply go with PayJunction for simplicity of keeping it all together.

I have since signed up as a reseller for both PayJunction and e-onlinedata. So if you want me to get you some rates, just PM me.

Hi, do you know if they are open to Canadian business and able to transfer the funds to a Canadian bank? Didn't find info on their site about that.

Thanks,

David
