How did they do this?

I love this layout for the product. I didn’t think it could be done…but since this is a CS cart now I know it can be. Can anyone share thoughts on how it was done? I had asked a few modifiers before I found this site, but the prices they gave me were well more than I make in 3 months!

What about the layout are you referring to? Description, images, etc.?

I love how the description is on the side of the product image with the price below that. And then the rest is below them.

to get the rest o fdescrition to be vertical instead of different tabs,

go to design/blocks/products/

change product details page tabs “direction” from horizontal to vertical.

as for the description at the side of the image play with the templates in admin/settings/appearance, then product details page settings. to make the, images large they will be in admin settings/thumbnails, and then product details thumbnail width

Hi John,

I appreciate your help. I was able to get the product details as in the example. I however was unable to get the description to move next to the image using the “admin/settings/appearance, then product details page settings” … any other ideas?

I’m very interested in this as well. How can we get only the description to show to the right of the image and the rest of the information to show beneath (either in horizontal/tabs or vertical fashion) ?

This is much easier on the eye, good catch Tina…

Sorry on my hols in Med  at the moment not checked back for a few days.

The template will need customising to view it like what you want but I cannot help there.

There are people here that coild do that for you, i.e, the alt team etc.

Hi John! Thanks for all your help. Yes I contacted them a while ago and they asked for over $1000 to do it. But I have finally figured it out and did it myself  So happy!

Hi Tina,

Can you please tell me how you did this? I’ve asked CS-Cart, but they want to charge me 500 dollars to change some code.

Thanks in advanced.

Karin

Hi John, I'd be very interested, too, as to specifically what code you used and what steps you took.

I am brand fresh new to learning about CS-Cart. I already have a Magento template. Can anyone tell me how to convert a Magento template into a CS-Cart template? Or point me in the right direction please.

Thanks so much!

Hi Karin… I created a new template for the layout. I took one of the built in templates they have and adjusted the settings within until it worked the way I wanted :)
