Google +1 now live

Google Google

Hi there,

You asked to be notified when the +1 button code was available, and today’s the day!

The +1 button makes it easy for visitors to recommend your pages to friends and contacts exactly when their advice is most useful – on Google search. As a result, you could get more and better qualified site traffic.

You’ll need to add a small snippet of code on the pages where you want a +1 button to appear. Ready to get started?

Get the code!

To stay current on updates to the +1 button large and small, please sign up for the Google Publisher Button Announce Group.

If you have questions when adding the code, check out the Google Webmasters Help Center. Thanks for your interest!

Sincerely,

The Google Webmaster Central & +1 button teams

Sorry, your “Get the Code” link does not work.

Hi, if I wanted to have this code beside my logo and the top navigation which file you figure I would need to edit? Thank you for your help.

top.tpl or the hook index:main_content

if I wished for this just before the current Facebook Like where would I need to put this?

Thanks

Hi Amit,

I know this is off topic but I see you have a Delivery Cost tab in your product page. How did you manage to create that? Can you please share with us, this is one of the major requests in the forum.

Back to the subject, I added to script.tpl this:

{script src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"}

And in my top.tpl, I added this to show the google+ button in the top section of my homepage:

Nothing shows… What am I doing wrong?
