How I can add Comments & Reviews on Home page?

You should create a block with testimonials on the home page of your store. To create such a block:


  1. In the administration panel, go to Administration > Add-ons.
  2. On the “Add-ons” page, enable the “Comments & reviews” add-on.
  3. In the administration panel, go to Design > Blocks > Home page and click the “Add block” button.
  4. In the opened windows, specify a name for the block, select Testimonials in the “Block content” drop-down list and click the “Create” button.



    Make sure that you already have any testimonials created in your store, otherwise the created block will not be displayed.

This doesn't work for me. Can you please tell me why?

For CS-Cart version 3.0.x the instructions are the following:


  1. In your CS-Cart admin panel, go to Administration > Add-ons.
  2. Enable the Comments and reviews add-on.
  3. Click on the settings link of this add-on.
  4. In the opened window, go to the Testimonials tab, select Communication in the Testimonials drop-down list and click the Save button.
  5. Go to Design > Blocks and open the tab of a necessary location.
  6. In the necessary grid, click the + sign and then click the Add Block button.
  7. In the opened window, open the Create New Block tab and select the Testimonials content type.
  8. Specify the name for the block and click the Create button.
  9. In the CS-Cart admin panel, go to Website > Testimonials.
  10. Make sure that at least one testimonial is created on the opened page. If not, create it.



    After that you will see the created block in the storefront. There will be the More… link in this block. If a customer clicks on this link, he/she will redirected to the page where he/she will be available to add a site testimonial.



    Please check it.

I am having difficulties with the “more” link… it is linking to a blank page. Please visit: http://www.doggamesu.com/ The center testimonial is using the testimonial block but the more links to http://www.doggamesu.com/index.php?dispatch=discussion.view&thread_id=83 which is blank. I can view the full testimonials on the back end, what am I missing?!

My customers can make reviews of the products on each product page with the add-on enable.



I want to show on the home the last products reviews made from customers. But this solution only show the testimonials and not the product reviews ?

Have any clue ?

I am interested in showing the product reviews as well on my front-page.

I DO NOT want to show the testimonials I want the PRODUCT REVIEWS.



Can anyone suggest a walktrough?

There's no way to show all product reviews. It would be very useful if someone make an addon for this.
