Exporting list results in..

…results in an excel csv file with only one column of data. I exported 2 fields, the resulting data has both field results inserted into one column with my delimiter shown between the email and firstname.

If I then import the exported csv data file into my email program, only the email comes in leaving the firstname behind

Len,

Seems like you have two issues (both of which may be caused by the first).

If you are only getting 1 column of data, you might want to check what the “separator” is that you are using for export. I recommed ‘,’ versus TAB or ‘;’. Then, name the file with a .csv suffix and excel should read it just fine as 2 columns.

It sounds as if the email program is behaving correctly if you are telling it that email is in column1 and firstname is in column2 (and you only have one column of data).

Tony, thanks much

Simply changing the delimiter to comma worked.

Now, I can’t figure out how to select ALL. Seems silly of me. I have 4 pages of users/customers. If I select ALL on one page and then advance to the next page, I seem to lose the ALL selected on the first page.

Change the page amount to view at the bottom of your screen to 100 or however many you need it to show first

If it is more than 100 customers change the 100 in your address bar to 200, 300 400 etc

you can get this link by coying target from the drop down numbers in the same page anmount view at the bottom of your screen.

John

John, if I switch to the largest number showm per page, as I advance to the next page of users, it doens’t keep the ones form the earleir page.

ive had that same problem, if you advance to the next page it simply wont keep the first page all selected. its just how it is and i havent seemed to figure out how to change that yet either, if you figure it out let me know!

Dont left click on 100…right click on it and select copy link location.

paste this location in your web address bar and change the 100 to howver many you want to show.

should be like below

http://www.yoursite.com/youradmin.php?dispatch=products.manage&items_per_page=100

Change the 100 to 200 or 300 etc
