CS Cart - Product Filtering option?

It would require some custom modding to achieve this.

We have asked the CS-Cart team to create this for us as custom work.

Maybe they will include it in a next version.

If anyone is interested in this, send me a pm.

I need this option(modul) for my shop.

Filters are a very important feature on a decent e-commerce site

anyone tried to implement filters yet? maby give me an ideea on how to do it…

Not sure if it is what you had in mind, but we have 6-8 “features” (actually plant characteristics) for each “product” (plant), and through advanced search, the customer can filter out what is important to them.

For example, a customer can search for only plants that prefer shade, only grow 6-12" tall, and have an orange flower.

This has been done with a stock 1.3.4 store, just a lot of initial time to setup for each product.

?

I know it can be done with Advanced seach , but it is easyer (and vey important) for any customer who is looking into an category, to filter products there by manufacturers or by some ‘product feature’, or by a range of prices. Plus, each category coud have diferent type of filters.

This is very important because most customer don’t know exactly what are they looking for and start with looking through categories.

Almost all the big online stores have this feature, and i think it is not too hard to implement, because all the coding exists in advanced search…

look at amazon … in cameras (photo) you have 8 filters…,

walmart - the same : http://www.walmart.com/search/browse-ng.do?ic=24_0&ref=125875.137971&exp=500500.1310&catNavId=597465

and the list could continue forever…

This helps in converting traffic into sales by making it easier to shop. Overstock.com has a good one too.

right! it is not too hard to implement. why it’s not done yet? next version?

  • This should be a default ability *

I shop at Newegg.com often for computer related items/parts mostly because it has this type of filter ability. It saves alot of time finding what I need and helps ensure compatibilty.

In my opinion, adding this ability should be a top priority

product filtering is included with CS 2.0 which is in BETA testing right now, best bet is to purchase a license now while the prices are down…

Welcome back, how is the vacation?

Link is not working, “Invalid IPB Path”.

Thats probably because it was posted in 2008.

Is there any workaround for this “Invalid IPB Path” problem ?

What is the new format of url for forum posts to be accessed/viewed by post_id ?
