Dear Friends,

I'd like to introduce a new add-on that is aimed to seamlessly integrate the Zopim Live Help Service into your CS-Cart:

What is Zopim about?

Zopim‘s all about helping business owners increase sales online. Our flagship product is a popular live chat solution that allows website owners to keep track of visitors on their sites and chat with them in real-time. This is available off Zopim’s website as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product.

How long has Zopim been around?

Zopim has been officially around since early 2008. The company started developing the prototype for Zopim even before the co-founders graduated in 2007.

Who are your customers?

We are currently serving an estimate of ten thousand customers worldwide in more than 30 languages. Every month, thousands of new businesses sign up with us – most of them are from North America and Europe. Typically, our customers are medium-sized businesses ranging from web-hosting companies like VPS.net to online retail stores like manpacks.com.

Why should users look at Zopim?

Zopim is simple to deploy and use. Most of our customers are able to get started within 60 seconds from signing up. Once deployed, Zopim can be customized to fit every business owner’s needs – from widget designs to customized chat engagements. Our goal is to provide business owners with a unique blend of usability, ease-of-access and intelligent features.

Usability – Zopim‘s is the first live chat solution to offer a chat bar embedded within a webpage. This offers a more seamless chatting experience for visitors. Support representatives will also enjoy using our web-based dashboard which offers a wealth of information complemented by an attractive and intuitive interface.

Ease-of-access – Zopim frees support representatives from being stuck in front of a computer all day. Business owners have the choice of logging in to a web-based application; staying connected via instant messaging (MSN, Gtalk, Yahoo, AIM); asynchronously providing support via email; or being available on-the-go via their mobile IM client.

Intelligent features – Zopim Smart Responder interprets questions from visitors and suggests the best answer for the agent. The Intelligent Trigger System identifies high value leads/potential dropouts using predefined rules and automatically initiates chat engagement to save abandonment. The result is less typing, faster response time, and happier customers.

Thanks in advance :)

Just confused why cs-cart is promoting these 3rd party solutions and which are two solutions that offer the same functionality. I don't see them doing that with any other addon capabilities. Seems odd from this end. Must be some ex cs-cart developers that started a new company and left on good terms....

In this situation, my bet ($50.00 USD) is that CS came to the conclusion that it was not worth their efforts to develope their own Chat module thus switched their efforts to working with these two companies which already had a solution & could easily be ported to CS-Cart. Quite often changing your mind in midstream is the better option! ;)

Uh, I offer addons that extend the cart too, but I sure don't have cs-cart architects posting my products on the community forum... Not that I wouldn't welcome it...

Yes, however, these are basically only free addons that mostly just served the purpose of bringing the whole Chat addon situation to a closure (just my extremely humble opinion, although I believe I may have been wrong once several years ago, can't remember). ;)

Free makes sense (if they end up truly free) but kinda hard to stay in business when your product is free.

But then it might be nice to hear a cs-cart response since they're the OP. But doubtful.

Well, until there is a dummies guide I just put the code in a block in the footer - seems to work ok there.

No sure if this is the best way to do it or not but for it seems the safest for the moment.

Hello, andy.
The Zopim addon doesn't work anymore with the newer versions of cs-cart.
I'm running version 2.2.3 professional.

Don't know the application, but you probably need a zopim account and enter those credentials in the add-on.

Thats the thing, in CS-Cart after activation of Zopim you only have a blank space to put zopim code, no credentials or anythins as other modules :(

BTW: Why I seem to post as a trial user, im a proffesional one :o
