Completely agree. Very excited to see the new versions. Great work CS-Cart!

Adam

I’ve just upgraded

skin\myskin\customer\views\products\components\product_images.tpl

Is there any change for this file in 2.1.1 and 2.12? I use winmerge and look like they are the same.

I have customized product_images.tpl file, I dont know how to put this file in addon/my_changes folder, I think the file name must be product_images.override.tpl but not know in which folder? anybody help me?

thank you

The Community Edition is big news! This should drastically increase the CS-Cart user-base.

The community edition is a great idea. I agree that it will be very helpful to CS-Cart.

Besides the lack of addons and templates, what is the difference though?

Also, why couldn’t someone download the Pro Version and move the addons and templates over to the community version? I did this with the SEO addon and it only took me a couple of minutes to do it. You’d think that CS-Cart might have a little more restrictions on this.

I pushed for a free basic cart a very long time ago so I’m glad to see it finally happening and yes hopefully the community grows even stronger - Sno

Holy shit!

The affilaite linking ability is hot!

I was not going to buy any more cs-carts, but looks like I am going to have to!

How can we keep cs-cart a secret?
Also, why couldn’t someone download the Pro Version and move the addons and templates over to the community version
You would have to buy a professional license to download and if you bought a professional license you wouldn’t need the community edition anymore. Hopefully they thought about a way to upgrade from community to pro through the online upgrade process - Sno

Actually they should release another cs-cart version called affiliate version at a lower price say $100 that it for affiliate product linking purely

CS-CART, opinion pleasE?

After installing 2.1.2 Pro in my dev environment (MAMP Pro, PHP 5.2.13, MySQL 5.1.44), I get the following error upon accessing admin:
Warning: stripos() [function.stripos]: needle is not a string or an integer in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/cscart_212/core/fn.common.php on line 3039
The storefront loads partially before stalling with a never-ending CS-Cart “loading” alert.

Anyone else getting this error?

If you just download the trial all the addons are there. Pretty darn easy.

Brandon

Last time I was made a mug of when all my products went out of stock after the update. Took me ages to work it out. I’ll wait until tommorow before updating and see what you guys find in terms of bugs!

I don’t see anything in the changelog regarding chages to the Affiliate system - what’s new?

Actually, any restrictions do not work for open-source software as they could be easily removed. So we just reckon on users respectability.

Zeke,

That is kind of what I figured. Keeping the code open source is great for us that purchase the licenses, but unfortunately it also allows the dishonest people to steal your work.

When looking at https://www.cs-cart.com/compare.html I see that “Suppliers can use own shipping methods” is only available in the Multi-Vendor Edition. When looking at my 2.1.2 Professional Edition, I see that I can assign different Shipping Methods per Supplier. Does MV extend this in some way?
