Please can any-one help, I’m trying to enamble the seo addon but it comes back with - SEO-friendly URLs are disabled. Check your web server and URL manipulation engine settings. - any suggestions ?

Yep its heart internet and they said its enambled
I was having the same problem, I uninstalled the SEO url addon the reinstalled it and it worked for me.

You can also check in your .htaccess file that the correct directory is specified in this line:
RewriteBase /cart
/cart should be the folder cscart is installed in. If it is installed in the root then it should be blank.
