SSL Issues
Posted 15 September 2010 - 05:12 PM #1
I've enabled all of the SSL check-boxes in admin and for some reason it only works in the admin side, not on the customer end...
I'm assuming it's a redirect issue, somewhere but I don't know where to look exactly?
Ideas?

I'm setting up a new store and it has a fresh install of csc.

I'm struggling with this too. Unless I force SSL in the admin, I can't even check off the "use ssl" items, it throws the SSL not configured error. With the admin is SSL I can set things to SSL but on the site the pages won't render in SSL (though they stay https and don't revert to http - the ssl colored bar flashes and then goes away.)
I'm on a VPS server and I know I've installed the SSL properly. It might be a PHP setting, but I haven't figured it out yet.

The easiest way would be to ask your hosting provider to install them...I am also having a problem with the SSL. The SSL certificate is on my sever but I get this error in the admin page when I try to switch it on 'The secure connection check has failed. Please check HTTPS settings in the "config.php" file and make sure that SSL certificate is installed on your server. '
Anybody got a solution?

Not sure if this will help or not, but you could try the SSL checker at this site http://www.sslshoppe...sl-checker.html
I used it on mine and it did highlight an issues with how I had installed the SSL on my server.
Just a sugestion
Cheers

This one works 100% correctly.I really don't believe this SSL checker. Just acquired a certificate thru Go Daddy. It isn't working right now (or I wouldn't be in this forum
). The checker says my cert expried 15004 days ago, or perhaps thinks that the expiration is on Unix day 0. Perhaps it doesn't know about 2048-bit certs?
