Category descriptions in Block

Hi,



I need a “Block” on “categories page” with categoties description.



Or i can add “HTML block” means the information from the database “$categories.description”!



If so, then what is the HTML-code??



Any ideas?

By default, the catalog page (the page with all the categories) doesn’t get the description from the DB. I have a free addon on my site for getting category descriptions on the catalog page.

This should get you 90% of the way along to getting them into a sidebar block.
