So i’m not sure if it automatically sends and email to a customer or not after i enter in the tracking numbers. Does it? Is there a setting for this?

The way I do it is to add the tracking number to the order, save the order without sending e-mails, then when I change order status to completes I check the boxes to notify customer…
Works well but if you do not check the notify customer box then they will not get the tracking #

it seems the latest v2.1.0 doesn`t have a form for tracking number input.

This should help get you pointed in the right direction.
Try enabling the “Shipments” feature in CS-Cart, then view an order in your admin panel.
Admin>Settings>General> “Allow Users to Create Shipments” = (Checked)
