Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 50331648 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 66641 bytes) in /home/x/domains/x/public_html/core/fn.log.php on line 70





Since I moved webhosts and re-uploaded the whole homedir I keep getting this error. Is anyone familiar with it?



It’s not the first webhost I move to and I got the same error, in fact someone in this forum claimed it to be the size limit of the webhost. The previous host changed the memory size to 1GB (1024mb) and it was still giving me the same error.



Does someone know the actual solution to this problem?

How much memory is allocated to your account?



I had the same problems and went with VPS. Since then, no probs whatsoever. Also, php.ini was removed from the root of CS website as it was causing similar problems. Did you modify any php files by adding "memory_limit = " parameter?

If you are on a decent host, open config.local.php and comment out this line like below



```php //@ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ‘48M’); ```



if you are on a budget host then you may need to adjust that 48 to a higher value ( 128 ) and leave it uncommented

As you could read, the previous host had it raised to 1GB (1024mb) and yet the error kept on coming up.



A clean install of any version works like a charm, why would the moving cause such problems?

50331648 bytes = 48 megabytes



You are being limited by that file… It does not matter what limits are set on the server itself. As long as that code above exists your site will be limited to it’s value.

The host said the limit is 128mb on their servers.

I have a Resellers account, on which I manage and operate various sites.



I have now re-installed it from scratch and I get this message now:

@ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ‘48M’);



I changed it to 128M, but got the same message. Then I ran phpinfo on line 501 just to make 100% sure it was set at 128, and it was.



Seems like a lot of memory just to create a pdf…





I’m running 2.0.15 and 2.1.0 side by side right now while testing. No issues with 2.0.15. Same exact server settings.

I couldn’t find no solution to this problem so I just changed to a next server and they extracted the whole back-up, now it works.

…are very, very different. I usually don’t read individual words and just gander the meaning, so I didn’t realize until now.



EDIT:

Turns out it was a peculiar server settings issue with Apache.

In the httpd.conf file these lines…

…caused a hard memory limit to be hit. While testing, sometimes the limit was passed because of some bugs that allow you to get around the limit. That caused extra confusion as to realizing what it was.

I get this same error after upgrading. I tried changing the memory limits but the error is still there. I added code to the fn.log.php to see what was in the backtrace to figure out why it was even giving the error, and it appears that there’s an error in the database. The backtrace shows an early failure that leads to more failures that build up seemingly recursively. I would post the backtrace, but it’s over 93k lines long. If needed I can zip and upload somewhere.



I also noticed just now that the config.local.php file sets the memory limit. If you get this error for something besides the logging on line 73, and the php.ini setting isn’t working, change the setting in config.local.php as well.

After replacing all of my files with the newest version (and fixing the config.local.php settings) I get this error:

I should note that I upped the server’s max_execution_time to 300 to try and fix this issue. memory_limit was altered to 256M as well.

Why not change the memory limit in both config.local.php and your php.ini files? This worked for me. I bumped up from 48M to 512M on config.local.php and from 256M to 512M in the php.ini file.

The error (at least in my case) seems to occur because the upgrade procedure fails which leaves the site in an invalid state. The database alterations cause recursive failures that will ultimately eat up any amount of ram you specify. Assuming it doesn’t eat that ram up, you will still get an extensive error message and will be left with a non-working site. I am sticking with 2.0.15 until the upgrade procedure from 2.0.15 to 2.1.0 is fixed and working.

i remove the late products i restore database to earlier i restore program from 3 days backup and keep have the same message
