Hi,

I am on an older Mac Power PC G5 running OS X 10.4.11. I have downloaded the CS Cart and the XAMPP, when I get to the cs cart install on local instructions page -7- that says type [url] localhost/cscart/install I get



Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.



Are there instructions for installing on a Mac?

Can someone please help? I am not a computer techie. I am more of a K.I.S.S. kind of girl. Step by Step and simple.:wink:

Hi Susan,



Presuming that you have a folder called “cscart” then that is the correct “link”, however my presumption is that you have placed the files outside of “cscart”:



try to access this url:

http://localhost/install/

Not sure what you mean by “outside” I downlaoded, and the CS folder is in my application folder. Is that incorrect?

If you extracted CS-Cart to the following directories, use the url shown below each.



/Applications/XAMPP/htdocs/cscart

Hello again,

I tried everything, but no luck. Ended up installing with siteground, just to get a feel for the program. I will worry aout local install if I decide to go with CS-cart. I do like all the features!

I use MAMP on my mac but this may help also be the same on XAMMP



Try



[url]http://localhost:8888/[/url]



as the main part of the url
