It would be cool if CS-Cart had a CC processor that would have like 5-10 test CC cards pre-set that would go through as a test and would deny each other number. It would not contact any CC processor but act as a fake approval/denial.
I don’t know if there is a right way but to test denial is costing us 10 cents with real CC processor. The test mode we cannot set with our CC processor because our current website (non-cscart) would not be able to receive orders.
So, for test purposes it is hard to test CC order placement, we have to use one of the non-cc methods but then how do we know that CC order placement site-wise goes smoothly?
Thus, it would be cool if there would be a DEMO-CC processor that we could choose and test with a few numbers how it goes through or shows denial…

Practically all CC processors or rather payment gateways have test accounts for you to test out processing transactions through their gateway before going live.
There is no standard cc processor.
Each payment gateway is different, so each has their own test accounts.
If you want to test out authorize.net transactions, get a test account from authorize.net.
If you want to test out cybersource transactions, get a test account from cybersource.
If you want to test out linkpoint transactions, get a test account from linkpoint.
