Where do I add path to jquery file

Hi, In which template do i add the path to a new jquery file I have uploaded to support a new slideshow i am adding. I assumed it would be in the index.tpl, main.tpl or top.tpl but looking in them i can’t see any of the existing paths defined.

I find way add new jquery to skin, I try add to file script.plt but it don't work. how to add jquery to skin??? how know!
