Out Of Stock Items

Hi Everyone,

Probably a simple question, but cannot seem to find it anywhere.

When a item goes out of stock, and we delete it from the system, does it auto delete the images associated with it, or do we have to manually delete the images? Thanks

Yes, the related images will be deleted also.

But keep in mind that if you have sold the item and you delete it, your records will not be correct (I think it will come up as “deleted item” in your invoice and sales records).

You would be better off, if you have sold the item in the past, to just mark it as “unavailable”. That way your records will still be correct.

Yes that is a big problem BUT if you anyway do every thing over in you economic system its np :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmmm never thought about that, and it could get messy if customers want to look back at old orders. :frowning:

I was just thinking of deleting items to keep things clean with a “little as possible database” and way to mod so the invoice does not lose it’s listing after the order is marked as shipped?

Create a new category for discontinued products and make it hidden. Move your discontinued items to this category instead of deleting them.
