Could you please give me the instruction on the settings ? Cuz i just download the file from help-desk, which was released by Aug,29,2011. but i met a problem on how to fulfill the settings.
such as the URL and the HTTP Authentication, should i add something or how to do ?

It's part of the 2.2 release now. It's simply an addon you can install/enable.

Since I am using a custom theme developed by some third-party workers, when I activated the Live Help addon it is not displayed at all. Where should I look in the code to enable the Live Help functionality once again?

Ok so I have the add on & the latest OSX client installed. Connection in preferences is setup and tested successfully but when I try and connect to store with username/password I get Authentication Failed. Anybody else get this? I'm using my admin log on.

You have to make a livehelp block for it to show :)

We are currently using third party applications because the LiveHelp addon is "not ready".

Please consider releasing the code and could go further and you would have more time to develop the cart (which is what really matters).

I absolutely agree with this. The Live Help client has been under development for ages! When it can be completed? 6 months ago, it was like this and now it's still the same.

I am using Zopim now by the way.

Hi,
I just installed LiveHelp on my store and the Livehelp client on my mac. But I have a SSL Certificate and when I create a connection with the "https://" domain and test the connection I get an error: "Connection Error: SSL handshake failed"
If I try with "http://", the domain is not found.

Can somebody help me solve this? Is it possible that Livehelp doesn't work with a SSL?

I don't know about live help, I have a different help/chat service. The service I have has code specific for ssl pages and code for non-ssl pages. The code for ssl pages is just located in blocks related to secure checkout pages. The other one is in blocks for non-ssl pages.
Not sure if your set up is the same.

Just wanted to say thanks for developing this! Live chat support is almost required these days for B2C companies, especially ones dealing in ecommerce.
