I am right now speaking with the CS-CART dudes to make them create a new mod called
“Product Filter” this mod will change the way the Product filters work and are shown.
I hope you will donate abit to this project as it cost me alot money to create both this mod and the other new mod “In Stock” that i am going to share with you soon (think its going on to SNO this mod)…

This mod will take the now working “Product Features” + “Product filters”
And create a SINGLE dropdown box on the category page.
As you can se on this pic. There is a lot of manufacturer names shown. All this names will be put into one single dropdown box and not like the “Shop by Features” mod from SNO that put it all manufactures into a **** long list of dropdown boxes.
As you can se on this pic, there are some text (This text is the normal Product filteres) The things i have put into it is what this new mod here will do !.
I hope this tells what this mod do. And that its not like SNO’s mod
Please corrent me if i am wrong (lots of money to wast on a addon if the ones from SNO can do this but i just don’t know to make this)
One the last pic you see some words called on danish. The translation is here:
Skærm = screen

Are there any news on this? I do not see this in 2.0.14. changelog… May be this is custom modification, that will non be included in CS-Cart core?
May be we will start a project in some days and this mod will be needed for this project. So it is possible, that we can contribute some money.

This is a custom addon (mod) that i am in need of on my site and i am asking the other users if they know this mod or if they want to help me pay it. and make it better
I think some type of product filter mod is in the works from the “Sno” Camp. Perhaps try asking him as several of us are going to pool funds. Details are not clear at this point…maybe he can shed some light on the mod.

I have been speaking with “SNO” for some time and he think he can create a modded version of his “Shop by F”
But we will se
If i am lucky he can fix it and it can start working and i save some **** lots of money that i can use on something other.

I also think it would be good to be able to indicate from the backend what to search for. For example…lets say I have a filter search for products based on colors. Well I have 50 color variants but would like to specify the filter to only search based on a few of the color variants and not all 50. Lets say just the most popular colors I specify.
In addition, in this example above, I have color variants with more than one color such as, blue/black/green as one color variant in addition to the colors blue & black & Green. I would like the option to be able to set the filter to search for any color with the color blue in the title. So the filter would pull the blue as well as the blue/black/green color variant. Word specific.
Also, the filter would need to be set to search only in the category/subcat that we specify or that it was created in from the backend and not the entire web site. So basically the filter doesn’t pull from the entire site, it’s category specific.
Lastly…the ability to put this filter in the side column in addition to the way specified from the examples above. Drop down boxes are a must, so variants won’t stream all the way down the page.
Thats my suggestions and I will be willing to chip in. Oh and Sno must be involved!!! Thanks

Yes i think you are right about that. The placing on the center i made on the pic are just to show. Nothing more. But all good ideer are welcome for sure… as i want this mod to work like 120% for both me and my customers.
