I get the same problem

We have the same problem on a number of cs-cart installations, when a user gets to the checkout page, fills in their information and then chooses a payment method (ie PayPal), once they click on the button to continue (which then brings up a loading page whilst it connects to PayPal or another service provider) it seems to take a good 30 seconds to a minute before finally loading the payment providers payment page.

Any help on this one cs-cart? It would be appreciated.

What cs cart build is this happening on?

version: 2.0.12 and 2.0.11 so far.

You had almost 9000 files in that cache directory and the process was running through every single one of them. This is an issue with the software. The issue can be resolved by removing the public_html/var/cache/ directory or there should be an option in the admin area to clear the cache.

You can clear the cache by logging into the admin area and then going to http://YOURDOMAIN/admin.php?cc.

If you have renamed your admin.php, substitute your filename for admin.php. You can add this to your Quick menu in the admin for easier future access.

Thanks Bob.

Its Ok now under clear the cache.

I need to clear the cache when i use the admin panel. If the cache can
t be cleared one or two days, the problem appears. So i guess can i use the cron job to clear cahce if possible and how to do this.

Joe

Got the same problem here. Seems it tries to init a 7000+ lines array and that takes a while

created a cronjob in my directadmin tab:

0 9-22/2 * * * wget -O /dev/null -q yourdomain.com >/dev/null 2>&1

This clears te tab every 2 hours from 9:00 until 22:00. Seems you dont need to be logged in to clear the cache!

Thanks flimflap.

Regarding to the command, i just need copy the command below to my cron job and change the domain address, any other changes?

09-22/2 *** wget -O /dev/null -q yourdomain.com >/dev/null 2>&1

Joe

not really, unless you have changed your admin.php filename or if you want the cron to go off at other times.

09-22/2 *** wget -O /dev/null -q yourdomain.com >/dev/null 2>&1

So the “***” doesn`t need to change

I see ,

Thanks for your help

In my case is problem in number of generated pfilters* files in var/cache directory, it grows very fast and practically endless, number of categories and filter combinations is simple too high. Although I have ext3 with indexed b-tree dirs it reaches the limits of filesystem quickly and slowdowns the script execution.

Caching should be definitely improved here. Maybe it’d be better to generate MD5 hashes of these dynamic filters and store the PHP arrays in indexed MySQL table.

I turned off “Show products from subcategories of the selected category” option and lets see what happens.

And about wget command,

wget -q --spider Eigen Webwinkel beginnen? Webshop beginnen? Gratis uitproberen | myShop.com

is just simpler.

Hello,

Just rewrote the cache storage using sqlite database to check the differences with file storage. Please try on your carts.

Just extract the file from zip archive and copy it to “core” directory, then clean up the “var/cache” directory.
