Ebay, Amazon Integration

As you can see the integration with Amazon and Ebay is in great demand now. So we would like to know your suggestions about what it should be like, i.e. the functionality, interface, etc.

Unfortunately I don’t know much about this so maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but I would love it if there was an easier way to upload products and inventory to Amazon. I am still adding products to my store and to Amazon and have to do it manually. It would me nice to use a csv or something.

Brandon

For ebay integration the following is what I can think of off the top of my head.

  1. Inventory sync between cs-cart stock level and ebay

  2. Automatically create customers and orders in cs-cart when an ebay order is placed

3.Ability to ship and manage most or all aspects of ebay orders using cs-cart updating orders on ebay when shipped via cs-cart

  3. Ability to create templates for ebay listings

5.Use ebay api to communicate with ebay

  4. Ability to list on ebay usa, uk, au and others

This would be a fairly complicated add-on and would require the input and testing of the cs-cart community.

Iv’e never used Amazon but I’m assuming it would require similar features.

epages a german made shopping cart has ebay functions

according to the epages website:

1.9.9 eBay

• Products can be directly uploaded to the eBay Marketplace from the back office

• Multiple sites (for example, Germany--eBay.de, UK--eBay.co.uk, Sweden–eBay.se) can be used in parallel

• The user of eBay Shops can also upload shop products there

• Preservation of all product details (for example, product name and image) as a suggestion from the ePages shop

• Multi-step assistant with various options (for example, “Buy It Now”, “Bold”, “Return” or “Featured item”)

• Short list of last used categories

• Delay start of the auction without additional fees

• Automatic repeated upload of the same article (for example, every two days)

• Use of pre-made design templates

• Management of your own design templates

• Use of shipping and payment methods of the shop (also PayPal)

• The item can be entered as a test to verify its accuracy and check the fees

• Overview of items of the same type or of all items (with coloured labelling of the price reached at eBay compared with the price in the shop)

• Filter for the overview (for example, only current items)

• Automatic creation of orders in the shop after the item has ended

• Rating the buyer

• Repeat upload (copy), with the same or similar parameters

• One click upload using the default settings

• Display of the product availability in the item overview

• Option “International delivery” available

• Notification e-mail for incomplete or expired authentication

• Placement of the product in one or two eBay categories possible

Any news from the front on when and if this feature will ever be added to cs-cart, or perhaps developed as a purchasable addon ?

Just started selling on ebay (I did’nt think we could make any money from the low prices on there) for my shop and have found there is money to be made.

Some items we can get more profit than from our retail store (even after fees for ebay and paypal).

cscart is fine, but as a startup sporadic.

Will be moving my “ideas” points to this.

We do 200 orders or more a week on amazon, 100 or more on ebay and about 50 on our site. So it looks like for me to stay sain and not go crazy, we are going to have to move to Multi Channel Company. I love CS-Cart but the fact they are behind in this leaves us no option.

I do highly recommend CS-Cart to anyone just looking for an “out of the box” shopping cart and not selling on Amazon or eBay.

Where you going?

Looking at Big Commerce for now…They don’t do Amazon but that I can live with that We were looking at Infopia, but their wed design sucks and cost about $4,000 to get started and they want 1% of our sales per month.

So I’m kind of curious now? Where do we stand on the Ebay/Amazon integration. Got lots of votes. Did we give up on this one? I know our opinions were sought after, but really look at other sites that have this integration and copy it.

CSCart doing another great job of keeping us informed.

Ranked 4th in the ideas list and not a word from the CS team.

We used to get this in the company we worked for…They’d ask the employees for our ideas and suggestions, then just keep on doing what they wanted. it was all fake.

Started to look though the ideas list and out of 200 odd ideas only 2 marked up. multivendor and shipping. WTF happened to the other 200 odd ideas?

My thoughts are they don’t pay any attention to the list and the only ones planned are the ones on the cards before the idea list was done.

The ideas list is just to pay lip service to people on this forum, it’s not really seen as a way cscart should be developing.

Using my spidey senses I see nothing coming soon or ever

Start by adding “Checkout with Amazon” as an integrated payment option.

I am actually looking for someone to develop this payment mod for me. I think it would be a great way to get customers.

We are integrating Checkout by Amazon now.

I suppose it will be available since v2.1.3.

I would like to have option to send products created in cs-cart store to ebay and opposite.

Also a checkout where buyers are sent from ebay to my site to complete payment, alternative to ebay checkout.

Thats great, now I’m tempted to wait for 2.1.3 before upgrading my site. Can we update the roadmap to reflect whats currently being worked on so we can make a more educated decision to wait or to upgrade ?
Thats great, now I’m tempted to wait for 2.1.3 before upgrading my site.
That will be sometime around April 2011 - Sno

you should just go for the upgrade now. You will wait you your life away for one or two added benefits in upcoming releases.

Only if it will benefit you. If it ain’t broke…don’t fix it!

Agreed, I would also upgrade if if they added new features which help increase sales (amazon|ebay)
