When the option:
"Use the selected layout for current category or search page only "
is unchecked the following message appears on most category or product pages:
Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/unica/public_html/core/fn.catalog.php on line 3491
Year I have same problem.

seemed an odd way to go about it. Still using 2.0.15, hope this is fixed in 2.1x.!

I am using the latest version (2.2.4 Professsional) and also got the same warning when unchecking that box. Rechecking the box solves it. Actually, the warning was the same except for the line it occurred on. Instead of line 3491, it occurs on line 4070.

[left]If selected, customers are allowed to change the layout of the category or product list page that they are browsing at the moment. And moving to another category or product list page will restore the default layout. When this option is disabled, a customer can select to use a different layout, and the selected layout will apply to all category and product list pages that the customer visits during one session.”[/left]
