Right Setup Google Analytics with sales tracking

Hello @all,

what make me very angry is tha totourial in the KB not complete. Thats mean you cant setup all without this knowing. I am not stupid and i try many things before i contact somebody, but what i cant nowhere read can i dont know.

Also here is the problem, what i must to do that my analytics work very well with cs-cart?

I have input the UA number, no problem.

Analytics count the clicks and so on, but without sales. I say this because in cs-cart i can enable or disable this unter “Analytics Addon” therefore it must have a function i think so…

What are the right steps to work with a good statistic?

Thanks very much for your description!

best regards

The first step of tracking e-commerce transactions is to enable e-commerce reporting for your website’s profile. To enable e-commerce reporting, please follow these steps:

Sign in to your GA account.

Click Edit next to the profile you’d like to enable.

On the Profile Settings page, click edit next to Main Website Profile Information.

Change the E-Commerce Website radio button from No to Yes.

I dont know how to configure this part. sorry…

If you find out please let me know.

Thanks for the post but could I ask, do we need to paste the google analytics generated code in the web pages as per google instructions, or not.

Thanks

If you use the actually cs-cart version, NO.

You must only setup in cs-cart the analytics addon, thats mean put in your Analytics Account number. And in Analytics in settings should be stay on e-commerce website.

I just turned on my Google Analytics and would much rather use that to track my statistics. Can I turn off the Statistics Addon in my Admin if I just use GA for my stats tracking? I don’t need to have the Statistics Addon active, do I?

Thanks!

No you don’t… Disabling the CS-Cart statistics won’t let you see how many people are online and I’m sure there are a few other small handy features you’ll miss out on.

Thanks, Racing. I’ll leave it on for now…wish it had the ability to turn off certain parts of the stats.

I’ve set everything up as detailed in the kb and this thread. But while google analytics is recieving normal tracking data, it’s not working with the ecommerce tracking. Has anyone else experienced this problem? And ideas what I can do to fix it?

You have solved this problem?

Has anyone tried to set up Google Analytics to work with the CS-Cart built-in search? If so, can you post here how to do that?

I selected “Do track Site Search”

It asks for “Query Parameter” what do I put in there? (it’s a required field).

And then it says that if you use Categories in the site search (which CS-Cart does), then you need to include the parameter for that (says you can put in multiple parameters).

Thanks in advance for any help.

I’m trying to get Google Analytics set up on my CS-Cart website. I enabled the GA add-on, checked the ecommerce box. I entered my GA account number, but GA keeps telling me that my status is “Tracking not installed”. What am I doing wrong? Did I miss a step? Thanks.

You must wait a litle bid, if i can remember right, i have to must wait a litle bid.
