I agree! There is so much missing from it.
I just THINK I know what I'm doing.

Woops. I saw the 12/01 and didn't look any further. If I did I would have seen the '05.

My bad. :oops:

I'd like to announce that CS-Cart 1.3.4 service pack 2 is released along with the upgrade kit for 1.3.3-sp2, 1.3.4 and 1.3.4 versions.

Also, Store Manager, version 1.1 is available now.

This still doesn't work for me. This is the error that I'm getting:

I don't know what the issue is. Is there a .htaccess file in the original installation?
I just THINK I know what I'm doing.

I moved the htaccess file out of the directory and now, for some god aweful reason it won't backup, It says that on line 243 of /backup/utils.php there is a call to a member function of a non-object. I can only think it's the $dir->read().

Perhaps the darn directory can't be read for some reason. I don't know.

edit: I was previously able to backup completely without a problem.
I just THINK I know what I'm doing.

Join the party. There's more errors than that. I just depends on your server and configuration. That's why I'm paying for an upgrade because we should be spending time marketing and not installing.

I dont mind paying for an upgrade, dont get me wrong... however I would rather not have to pay each week they release a service pack.

I patiently waited for 1.3.4 then installed and started modding, since the relase of 1.3.4 theres been 2 upgrades, I really dont want to pay for an upgrade just to find out that next week service pack 3 is released...

Ill wait to hear from the CS-Support Ticket or may just leave 1.3.4 installed for now as im almost ready to go live with it.

I updated this morning to 1.3.4 SP2.
I did not use the store manager (AT ALL) despite attempting to.
Updated SQL queries I encountered a duplicate SQL entry

ALTER TABLE cscart_discounts ADD KEY `cc` (`coupon_code`,`discount_type`,`avail`);

I edited the code and update the SQL database via the 'SQL Query' in PhpMyAdmin.
Then overwrited files. lastly running the post_install.php file

From what I can see it's an improvement.

This caused by script timeouts on your server. Please try to decrease value of "DIRECTORIES_PER_PASS" constant in "c:/program files/cs-cart.com/store manager/scripts/backup_settings.php.tpl" file to "50".

I got the
ALTER TABLE cscart_discounts ADD KEY `cc` (`coupon_code`,`discount_type`,`avail`);
error as well.

The store manager never gets past connecting to the FTP server for me, does this work with localhost? Anyways it's easier to just upload all the contents of "latest" and overwriting the files, then processing the sql queries...

Why not just keep the upgrade process simple by just uploading and overwrighting existing scripts then processing the sql queries?

I did exactly that...

Uploaded files over the top, logged into phpMyAdmin and run the sql queries.
Store is working fine ( I hope), as I hadnt changed really changed much in the php files.
