Why???????

What’s the reasoning that it takes me 5 minutes to add a freaking product or just update anything? I get this “Loading… Your request is being processed, please wait.”

I got the Ajax stuff unchecked and it happens in Windows and Firefox.

This is a pain in the rear. The weird thing is that if I just close the window and search for the product, it shows up. But there is never a time when the status shows updated or any type of success message. How do I get it to refresh quicker so that I can add the features and other stuff to the product since those tabs don’t show up until the product is successfully added.

What I do to hurry things up

  1. Clear cache

    admin.php?dispatch=categories.manage&cc

  2. Optimize db

    admin.php?dispatch=database.manage

  3. Remove statistics

    admin.php?dispatch=statistics.reports

or even better disable statistics addon

I was having the same problem, I used some support credits to find out that I needed to clear the contents of the cache folder and the the folders in the compiled folder:

public_html > var > cache

public_html > var > compiled > admin > customer > mail

I don’t understand what’s going on but when I didn’t clear these for a while my host shut me down due to CPU spikes caused by php processes.

I upgraded yesterday and I’m hoping this will solve the problem.

What did you upgrade to?

Default behaviour is to load all the products in the DB into the picker (at least as far as I’m aware)

I’ve requested that CS-Cart change functionality, for the moment however there as no “apparent” fixes, clearing the cache will only require the ajax items to be re-downloaded making the lag lengthier.

How many products do you have?

We sell over 4500…I did a few of the above and things are much better for now. will just keep repeating those I guess…

the file addons.cache.php under var / cache is the one that makes it take such a long time. delete it. you will see the difference.

once you submit all your products that should be fine. but when you try to upload new products later on (next day or later on that same day) you need to delete the file again to make things faster.

try it and see it yourself.:)

I had similar problem, but I have only 30 goods! Now 2.11, tried to upgrade to 2.12 the same staff.

I am regularly cleaning cache index?cc (every 6 hours).

I had statistic add-on to On, but DB is only 20 MB big for now, I clean it after it had 60 MB.

I had virtual server with 500 MB Ram and only the shop is running there, I even tried to move to the 2GB and 3Ghz virtual server, and after 3 days it was the same problem.

The worst thing, it is happens not systematically, but randomly, so it is hard to recreate for testing purposes.

Spent some money on support, they advice me to turn OFF the product filters, I did it (I need them, but I need customers to be able to place an order more). But problem is still there.

Does anybody has some ideas?

May be it is caused by some of the hosting parameters?

Thank you for your help.

Hmm, for last 3 hours no problem yet.

What I tried new, is: admin.php?dispatch=categories.manage&cc

Will continue testing.

Do you think it is reasonable to put this command as a Cron job for every let say 6 hours?

as always, after my previous post, problems again

as on attached screen shot, this message appears for 1-3 minutes, and no reaction

Hi, it seems like a java script problem.

Hi, guys from CS help desk spent two days, and the only thing they found it slow connection with MySQL server… Don’t know I have only 30 goods and DB size is only 20 MB.

Do you think it is possible to have such problems from selected skin? I choose “computer shop” one.

Did you try also other skins? If yes, does it work faster with an other skin?

You can try this free service of Martfox Internet Services: http://forum.cs-cart.com/showthread.php?p=73332#post73332

So, you will see if it works faster and also see, where is the problem if you compare both settings.

Thank you for proposition, which model wil you recommend for CS-Cart?

If you mean for testing, you can choose one of the trial plans (US or UK Server).

*** IMPORTANT IF YOU CHOOSE FREE TRIAL PACKAGE ***

After the trial period of 30 days all accounts will be automatically TERMINATED, that means all data will be deleted.

Anyway each trial-customer will receive an “Trial Expiration E-mail” 7 days before the expiration date.

  3. you will need a dedicated IP for a SSL cert (EUR 2/mo.)
