[solved] Possible Pay Pal Bug
Posted 06 January 2010 - 02:59 PM #1
This problem has only occurred in 2010. Prior to 2010 there were no problems. According to Pay Pal the expiration date is being passed with too many digits.
I attempted to order using my Visa card and each time it failed citing an expiration date mismatch. I had entered the expiration date correctly at checkout.
The version is 2.0.11
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Nope, we are using Paypal Pro with 2.0.11 without any problems whatsoever.
PS: The "Start Date" setting didn't get ticked on the individual credit card type settings did they?

No it didn't. I'll have to do some sleuthing in the Pay Pal account. Something changed that's for sure. In the meantime I have the client switching to authorize.net.

Calvin you need to fill out an application and there is a $15.00 per month processing fee. You'll need to send them a voided check to prove you have a bank account and a few other things. It's not difficult. If you're interested, I am a reseller and I can send you the link to sign up.

The PayPal module seems to be not working properly. We have another issue with it: http://forum.cs-cart...ew&vbug_id=1527
I'm glad to hear that someone else is having a problem. I am going to try uploading an earlier version of the Pay Pal module and see what happens.

i cancelled the pro cause it was not working correctly so i am stumped right now only way people can pay is use paypal standard
only one issue is i cannot have any new merchant acct cause they will do a credit check on m,e and i am under bankruptcy so that creates that problem with them running a credit check the bankruptcy will find out so what do i do to increase sales when some people cannot understand they dont need a paypal accct to use standard paypal ?

Someone explain to me if I'm being mistreated and/or who to contact? They used to have reps contact me cause I was a big customer, but I've heard nothing from anyone at paypal in over a year. Anyone know how to reach the right people to get my rate reduced?

Just rename cert_key_pem.txt to api_certificate.pem.txt and upload to payments/certificates. In your Admin back end navigate to Administration/Payment methods and then to your Pay Pal Pro settings. In 'Certificate File Name' replace cert_key_pem.txt with api_certificate.pem.txt.

What difference does this makes?
If the file is payments/certificates/cert_key_pem.txt
should it be renamed? Is it paypal pro problem or website payments + express checkout also?
I am getting some open orders with paypal but some are ok?
