Stone Edge Order Management with Cs-Cart

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is using Stone Edge Order Managment with CS-Cart (version 1.x or 2.x). What has been your experience?

Also, if you aren’t using Stone Edge but are using a different Order Management software, what are you using and how do you like it?

Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Eric

Check out our solution. Much better than another Microsoft Access Forms Application. We provide full integration with cs-cart (actually our rebranded version) and it’s all web-based so nothing needs to reside on your PC (unless you use desktop shipping applications).

Unfortunately, we only provide integration with cs-cart if you use our rebranded version and host with us. But it sure removes a lot of hassles by having one-stop shopping for merchant solutions. Pricing is based on order volume only, no commission on sales or inventory quantity, etc.

Hi Ogia,

Best overall system we have found for daily order / shipping management is this combination:

  • Quickbooks
  • ECC/Webgility (latest version has direct integration with CS-Cart 2.0.11 as well as Ebay integration)
  • Shiprush for Fedex (Not the free version included in Quickbooks, the full blown purchased version w/ built in Address Verification, etc)
  • Endicia Dazzle for Priority Mail shipments

We spent a fair amount of time testing Stoneedge a couple years back (& I still even have a licensed version collecting dust)

They have a pretty strong customer following, however, in my opion it is overpriced & fealt very bloated & “clunky” to use.

Thanks Struck!

How is your Quickbooks doing the job? I’m not convinced to use CS Invoices. The trouble is with Credit Notes, which don’t exist in CS. Under UK distance Selling Regulations, a customer has right to return purchased product in 7 days with no reason given. And things do happen. Sometimes, they buy stuff like 20 items of 4 different types and return 2 of one type and 5 of another. In each case, we need to issue a Credit Note and refund in full for returned products. Having invoices issued with CS and then Credit Notes with another program creates us a mess. How do you guys handle it? Thanks.

Hello Noman,

We only use the details from our CS-Cart invoices as a means of gathering the order details to transfer into our internal accounting system, Quickbooks Premier. After the orders are entered into Qbooks, then the Invoice numbers are determined by Quickbooks. In fact, our online order numbers are not even the same as the Qbooks Invoice numbers generated. As far as issuing credit memos, this is all maintained internally in Qbooks as well.

Actually, we consider the Invoice numbers created from our online CS-Cart orders as nothing more than “Order Numbers” as the final, actual Invoice Number is created, tracked & maintained in Quickbooks.

Hopefully this is helpful, if you need more details let me know!

Thanks Struck

I was trying to avoid any 3rd party software with CS, but this means, I will have to go with QB and retype addresses and products by hand. Saaad ;(

Thanks. I have been lurking for a few months and just took the leap. I will be trying these.

Yes we do the same as Struck but into sage line 50, been looking at QB but it only allows 5 users, we currently have 10 ststions with Sage, be great if we didnt have to re type all the data, if something could pull it in automatically.

John

We have created the stoneedge addon for cs-cart,

feel free to contact us for cost information if you need it,

thanks!

Why don't you just post the price of this addon along with a link to the specific details?

Just been on your site…all seems a little ambiguous to me ??

John, I realize this was an old post, however in your case you would need to look at Quickbooks Enterprise version to accommodate the number of “Users” you have, and then check out ECC by Webgility to automate your online order entry (we have not manually entered our online orders for years, & I am trying to forget just how badly that sucked)! :D

Good timing I will do. Sage are quoting stupid figures at the moment for the upgrade to the 2012 version

Thanks

Well, no guarantees that Intuit’s pricing won’t be just as stupid! However, the main benefit will be that you will then have more 3rd party options to automate getting your online orders into your accounting system, and that in itself is priceless! :)

Another legitimate player for order automation into Quickbooks is T-Hub by Atandra, I worked with them for several years as well, so you might take a close look at their features when comparing.

John, You state back in a post the you use sage. Is this mas 90 or 200? if so have you come up with any good intergration method? I am currently looking at “IN-SYNCH” they say it will bring all order information into mas 90 in real time. Kinda costly, but would pay for it self in years time.

Thanks,

David DeWitt
