Why buy from cs cart when i can buy cheaper at a reseller

just a general question to see if its worth paying the extra $40 (£24) and getting it from you direct rather than an authorized reseller.

Been using virtuemart but fed up with problems, fixes, more problems, unable to get decent payment gateways that work etc. (everything seems to bring problems to something else seo, froogle etc etc etc) so have decided to give cs cart a try as reviews are good on the whole, price is right. I dont know anything about php etc but i read that cs cart is easier than virtuemart. If you want you can visit my current site at www.ukbeading.co.uk

just as an aside to above question. i want to keep that site going till i make the adjustment to cs cart. how do i go about getting use to cs cart. i have another website/space that i no longer use , can i test it there and when i happy/confident with cs cart delete from that server and install at the ukbeading host. or can i try it locally on my pc in some way?

This is a forum and not intended for questions directed to CSCART.

However to answer your question I don’t think there is any difference in terms of “what you get” as it is a package from CSCART sold to you via a THIRD PARTY. CSCART make some and so do THIRD PARTY.

So buy the cheapest option, but maybe check with CSCART web site to check that they are a genuine reseller.

Yes in short.

There is a difference buying from CS vs Reseller.

CS gives you 30 days support or 40 support points and a refund policy

CS-Cart licenses purchased from authorized resellers come with 20 support credits and are not subject to our refund policy.

I stand corrected, I obviously missed some small print!!!

We as an authorized reseller offer:

 • 100 days Money Back Guarantee
 • 30 days Free Support or 40 Support Points
 • Free Installation or Free Site Transfer

I thought the main difference is whom you get support from. If you purchase from cs-cart they provide a support period and points. If you purchase from a re-seller, the re-seller is your first line of support.

In case the license for a client’s store is registered in the reseller’s name, the client is unable to use CS-Cart services and needs to contact the reseller in reference to the technical support. Thats mean, that the reseller can provide his own services e.g. not 30 days support but 60 days…

You are wrong.

If the reseller transfers the license (which is registered for a client’s CS-Cart store) to his client’s account in the Customer Help desk (helpdesk.cs-cart.com) the client becomes a CS-Cart license owner and can use CS-Cart technical support, custom development, web design and other services.

And in case the license for a client’s store is registered in the reseller’s name, the client is unable to use CS-Cart services and needs to contact the reseller in reference to the technical support.

So if I purchase from a reseller I need to ensure the license is transferred to my name. Correct?

The license doesn't need to be transfered. If you buy it you will be automatically the owner, it's same process such when you buy it from CS-Cart directly. There is nothing else, just we have an own repository of CS-Cart Licenses.

Ouch! I can not imagine not having access to the help desk and files download area. Anyway, one gets quite a nice discount directly from cs-cart after your first license.

You will get the access to the CS-Cart Help Desk and all the features. We JUST RESELL the licenses.

well i decided the best option was to download the trial so i can figure out the software and see if its suitable and easy to use. took a while to get it installed but it’s up and running and i’m now trying to add products, shipping etc. so going ok at the moment.

indy0077 will most probably get cs cart of you once i’ve done testing as you seem the cheapest especially with the discount code.

The resellers should have their own help desk and download area. This is especially true for non english speaking local resellers!!

We will do it for german, czech and slovak customers.
What will you find in the download are? Your installed version of CSC? Or will you there pay for your questions? As I said, you can get the same support, in some cases maybe better.
1. Do your customers get full access to all files such as bug fixes, manuals etc. the same as a CS cart customer?

 2. What is your discount after the first cart?
1) Do your customers get full access to all files such as bug fixes, manuals etc. the same as a CS cart customer?
Yes
2) What is your discount after the first cart?
Example:

Firts license: $217 (€145)

Each next license: $165 (€110)

I believe resellers are not allowed to sell the cart below $165 (€110), which is the same price if purchased directly from cs-cart after you purchase one license and have an account in the official Cs-cart Help Area.

Your only savings is $23 on the first license.
