The database is refreshed on a schedule - every 30 or 60 minutes, as I recall. That is the reason we cannot always create an example of a bug on the demo site for the developers to later review.

I would say, they should make something in the admin-demo, that the user will not be able to delete or change anything.
Unfortunately, the more you lock it down the less useful it is to confirm (duplicate) bugs prior to reporting them to the developers.
At any rate, the demo data is already refreshed and the categories are back.

Yes, thats right, but from a marketing and sale viewpoint, I find it not to good if someone destroys the demo store and potentialy customers, they visit the site at this time see a demo of an ecommerce software without categories, products and other functions they was deleted by someone like me.
I understand your concern - perhaps they need a separate test site for us to test against.
