We are having a new Feature that will randomize all your new products when it displays them on the main page . example . if you have 60 new items and you are only displaying 8 items on your homepage it will grab a random 8 products from the 60 and display them on the page each time its reloaded .

I have decided to donate this mod to the community …
I paid for this mod using my own money like many others on here …
I have sent the code to the cs-cart developers in hopes that it will get added
to the cart.
maybe some of you that can afford it will donate some of your mods as well …
if we donate our mods cs-cart will become more powerful than any other cart …
and maybe just maybe we could see some really nice stuff come out …
i believe the paid mod community is sucking the life out of everything .
( everyone can not afford expensive mods )

you will need to perform the mod by following the text file
not by copying the php files …

Their are significant changes between 2.09 and 2.1.0, you just haven’t noticed what you broke yet…

I modified the files to work on 2.1.3 Professional, the files are attached, this is a hardcoded hack so backup all the modified files first before installing. Note because CS uses a cache if you refresh the page the random products will not always show, in addition the hack seems to force a re-cache periodically which is not really a good idea. I will investigate if their is a better way to do this and make it into a real addon where you wouldn’t have to hack files - Sno
