Hi, try upgrade Cs-Cart 2.0.7 to version 2.0.8, but I can not, and I’ve tried everything.
CHMOD permissions are fine, all at 777. But it is impossible to upgrade, and still shows me always the same error message:
Warning: copy(/home/boutique/public_html/payments/google_calculations.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/boutique/public_html/var/upgrade/upgrade_2.0.7-2.0.8.tgz/uc_override.php on line 624
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Also give permission to the Update Center to access via FTP, but still receive the same error message.
Thanks for helping

Can you ssh into your account? and see what the permissions are for
/home/boutique/public_html/payments/google_calculations.php

Check the permissions to the folder:
/home/boutique/public_html/var/upgrade/upgrade_2.0.7-2.0.8.tgz/
It needs to be 777

I think skins and var dirs all must be 777 -R but better refer to manual.

All permissions are set to CHMOD 777:

SSH is another way to connect to server, but in your case ftp connection would do same.
You should not set all directories to 777, just ones I mentioned and advised to check only

Here’s from manual
The next step is setting file access permissions.
On a UNIX-based server with terminal access to it, run the following commands one
by one:
chmod 666 config.local.php
chmod -R 777 catalog
chmod -R 777 images
chmod -R 777 skins
Most versions of control panel have the so-called file manager that allows to
unpack a TGZ or ZIP archive by one click.

chmod -R 777 var
If you do not have terminal access to your server, you can change file access
permissions using an FTP client. Most of them have the “Change permissions” or
“Change mode” functions. With the help of the function you are to set the permissions
for the ‘config.php’ file and the directories listed above. The ‘chmod 666 config.php’
command means that you must set 666 permissions (in other words, read, write and
execute permissions for the file user, group and other) for the ‘config.php’ file. Other
commands (e.g. ‘chmod -R 777 catalog’) mean that you must set the same 777
permissions for the directory, its subdirectories and all the files under these directories.
Please refer to your FTP client documentation for more detailed instructions on setting
file permissions.
Now I am not sure if this is the case but there might be something wrong due to google checkout if you use such.
goto
yourdomain.com
and disable google checkout. Close store and try again to upgrade, maybe it will help

Permissions already know how to put them there, was just to show you that it can be changed.
But I still do not understand why the update does not work …

I had the same problem but managed to solve it by locating the problem file.
/home/boutique/public_html/payments/google_calculations.php
Make sure the permissions are set to 777 then try and run the upgrade.

I said earlier that the permissions are fine, are set to CHMOD -777. But still will not let me upgrade.
Thanks.
