I have been doing a lot of research about the renting market. Currently there is not a single company out there that is doing renting scripts except for the custom built ones that cost 5,000$.
I have looked around and alot people want to rent things like Netflix, or blockbuster. This is actually a really good market. I have been trying to setup something myself.
I believe there is no other structure to build on but CS-CART!. It is just amazing the way this whole system and company works. Im soo glad i have cs-cart since 2005-06.
I think a group of us should get together and chip into a Renting Mod. Itll be cheaper for all of us.
Maybe snorocket can help manage this operation.
Anyone into this whole renting mod? Please let me know. Maybe theyll add this to future releases also?

Yes, I would be interested in a specific module for Renting (Booking) of several Hotels on one town or one country.
That is, the module needs manage the reservation book for each room of each hotel, with different price depending of the date.

Yes, but a decent Booking mod will be very complex. However, this will open a new market for cs-cart.

I am currently in the process of customising the recurring billing to a proper rental system. If anyone is interested in splitting the costs let me know.
That would be awesome if we could have a booking feature… That implies having a calendar as a product option (arrival date and departure date). This is a feature that would be so absolutely useful for my website (Travel agency)…
Hi guys, who would be willing to pitch in for a Rental Mod?
Here are the features I requested from cs-cart for a quote:

- Have vendors enter enter their rental information with images, details, etc… (supported now with the multivendor edition) But most importantly, have them take full control of their calendar availabilities and their rates depending on the calendar (seasonal prices change)

- Admin end:
- Vendor management:
1- option for the vendor to turn on and turn off calendar feature depending on the product.
2- Option for the vendor to select the reservation length for different time frames, example: vendor wants to offer his apartment to rent on a weekly basis from 1/1 to 6/1 then on a daily basis from 6/1 to 9/1.
3- Option for the vendor to enter prices depending on calendar dates
4- Also, in the product features, vendors will select:
- Number of rooms/baths, How Many people can sleep
- Location of the apartment (Country, City, etc…)
- A list of included amenities features) - it will show icons in the product page front end depending on what’s selected.
5- Ability to manually add a booking from the administration area.
* Front end:
1 - The user will see the calendar availabilities and prices in the Product page (may be under an Availability tab?)
2- The booking details will be reflected throughout the checkout with the capability of modifying the dates in the calendar.
