You can add/work with Banners in several different areas of Admin:


  1. in “Blocks”
  2. in “Content”
  3. in “Affiliate”



    I believe the Affiliate Banner is intended to only be placed on an affiliate website, so that makes sense. But what is the difference between banners in Blocks and in Content?

In order to add banners in Blocks, at first you need to add/create the banner with details e.g title, image, url, etc. in Content.

When I add a block for my banners, the “Appearance type” only has one option - “Original”. How do I add new options here?



Essentially, I want to create 3 separate banner blocks:

–Block 1 has 1 x 250x250 banner

–Block 2 has 2 x 120x300 banners side by side

–Block 3 has 4 x 120x90 banners (2 across + 2 down)



Each of these blocks will require their own CSS to make this work, so I assume they each need their own appearance template.

CS-Cart quoted $320 to allow for this functionality. I made it work by simply changing my CSS to have the ad-container div float left.
