Why is 2.0.4 inserting the following unwanted meta tag, and how do you remove it?

you have to change \skins\basic\customer\meta.tpl
i have the same problem and seems v2.0.6 start collecting tpl files from \skins\basic\ instead of \skins[your skin]
try to play with index.tpl where reference to meta.tpl is indicated.
Actually, I noticed the cart stores the generated pages somewhere on server. Once I turn off SEO add on and turn it back on fixed the problem. The meta info. gets updated. 
CS-Cart uses a caching system. Cached pages are stored in /var/compiled. In 1.3.5, you can use the Administration >> Cleanup templates cache link to refresh. In 2.0, just append ‘&cc’ to any admin URL to clear them.

Try to change Settings -> Company -> Company name setting
Changed there. Still show “Technologies Ltd”.

No, full name, "Simbirsk Technologies Ltd" still shown. That was my typo when I tried to copy and paste. I searched the database for "Simbirsk", they appeared in csorder_order_data table. Looks like it was stored in bin file which doesn't allow bulk edit.
