The add-on brings Yandex ID sign-in to a CS-Cart storefront: the Yandex button in the sign-in and registration forms and the instant sign-in widget for guests. Most shoppers in Russia and the CIS already have a Yandex ID open in the browser: the button shows the visitor’s name and portrait, one click, a short confirmation in the Yandex window — and the customer is in, no password, no confirmation e-mail.
- The button appears in the sign-in pop-up, on the sign-in page, in the checkout sign-in form and on the registration page. It is drawn by the Yandex SDK; the type (with a caption, outlined, icon on red or grey), theme, size, corner radius and logo language are configurable.
- Instant sign-in widget: a guest sees a Yandex panel with their account in the corner of the page — one click and they are in. Unlike Google One Tap, Yandex has no cooldown: a closed widget simply appears again on the next page load.
- New customers get an account on the fly: first name, last name, e-mail and, when permitted, the phone number from Yandex ID; the store’s standard registration e-mail can be sent. Existing customers enter their own account and Yandex ID gets linked to the profile — the link is visible in the account area and can be removed or set up again. Orders placed as a guest before signing in are attached to the account.
- The store verifies the token from the browser itself with a direct request to Yandex and accepts only a token issued to your application. No application secret is needed — just the Client ID. Only customers can sign in through Yandex ID; administrator and vendor accounts are never touched. For B2B stores the sign-in can be limited to certain e-mail domains.
- Rejected sign-in attempts are written to the administrator log with the reason. The settings page carries a note on the browsers where the widget may not appear (third-party cookies in Safari and Firefox, ad blockers) and why the button still works there.
Works with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor from version 4.3.1, in the CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor, Multi-Vendor Plus and Multi-Vendor Ultimate editions, through the standard hooks of the sign-in and profile forms of the Responsive theme and themes based on it; the storefront needs HTTPS.
