Wrong Seo Url For Cloned Item

Hi there,

I've just had a CS-Cart upgrade to V4.3. I'm creating a new item using the clone tool and the SEO url is the original product name+clone. Or...

Oringinal product...

Item Title
Ferrari California T "Signature Series" 1:18 Scale - Bburago Diecast Model (White)

SEO URL

http://www.bongos.net.au/diecast-cars/ferrari/ferrari-california-t-signature-series-1-18-scale-bburago-diecast-model-white/

New product...

Item Title
Ferrari Speciale "Signature Series" 1:18 Scale - Bburago Diecast Model (Red/Black)

SEO URL

NOTE: The above url has now been edited.

I've can't seem to find a setting that might effect this that I can change. Any help would be appriciated.

Hi Again,

As an addedum...

I tried to manually change the SEO URL to the correct one and a check box magically appeared "Create redirect from old URL".

Is there a global way to uncheck this?

Do you mean you need "Create redirect from old URL" default to uncheck?

Yes. Currently the default is for newly cloned items to use the old SEO URL. I want all newly cloned items to use their own SEO URL.

But in your example the URLs are different: one - default product URL, another one is with the -clone suffix. Please advise.

Maybe this might help....

Original item...

Item Name : Ferrari White

SEO URL: ferrari-white

Item is then cloned...

Item Name : Ferrari White [CLONE]

SEO URL : ferrari-white-clone

Cloned item is renamed and saved...

Item Name : Ferrari Red

SEO URL : ferrari-white-clone **This is the problem**

After the item is renamed the cloned SEO URL remains by default. I want it to automatically change to the New Name as it did in V3 of CS-Cart. Is there a setting or something that does this?

Am afraid, no. It is required to change the SEO name manually. Note that you can also export and import seo names
