Just want someone who can do it right without screwing it up. We have an established site with a lot of customers, orders, etc. that I don’t want to lose. I actually could do the upgrade . . . but I wanted to make sure it’s done right. This would be my first upgrade and I don’t want to mess it up.

Sheesh, I thought we could be mature and answer my request.

No one has more experience than JesseLeeStringer on upgrades.

He will do it RIGHT, guaranteed.

Well overgrown ego. Sad.
Actually I was a bit sarcastic and my reply was meant as a joke. :stuck_out_tongue:

The sarcasm stems from the vantage point that I do actually hold decades more experience than anyone else you’ll find around here (or most anywhere else for that matter) including more than three decades as a Unix / Linux systems administrator, programmer, network engineer, and first and foremost security specialist very much at the top game in my field so doing things like upgrading single individuals isn’t really my thing but I was making a bit of joke in the reference of you saying that you wanted “experience” for your upgrade which I would say I am uniquely “over qualified” to the zillion exponential degree.
Not to sure if Norman was jealous.

I haven’t go a problem with ego as long as it can be backed up. Don’t see anything wrong with bigging yourself up. It’s getting the job done that counts.

By the way spiral…ALWAYS do a backup before you do anything…just a little tip from me.

Man, it wasn’t directed to you.

LMAO! If only you had even the smallest notion just how wrong you are!

I don’t really give a damn about what you or anyone else around here thinks of me

and if you believe otherwise, you are both much more fools than I thought!

You do realize that action rather than your endless self-congratulatory blathering could improve your standing? Where’s the script?
I will go ahead and write everyone a quick script utility to check their server information and display the correct permission recommendations for everyone based on their specific type of server that the end user is using and that should take some of the guesswork out of all this mess for everyone.

What if I don’t want to “improve” my “standing” as you put it? EVIL GRIN

Regarding your question about the PHP detection script, that is indeed coming!

I only posted the script message just yesterday and I have not had much of chance

to sit down and write the script yet but I will do so very shortly and everyone can

probably expect that in a day or two, just when I get a couple free moments.

Don’t know why you all take it so seriously?:stuck_out_tongue:

I decided i’m keeping out of this one just in case i get burnt…
