My site has languished on tick over for a bit - its a long story - and I am now thinking of having another go at pushing it generally forward. So coming back to the forum and seeing all the talk on version 2 I am wondering about this.
It takes time (money) to go through the upgrade procedure.
I was wondering how people saw the latest version.
Other than it looking different what are the main things that people feel they might have gained and what about maybe lost.
So does it really matter. Or should I perhaps just focus on product and promotion and stick with what I have?
If your store is already very stable and you don’t need the new features(usually become the benefits) in 2.0, maybe you can plan this upgrade thing slowly.

Good
My customers say they find it easier to use then 135. I got used to it already and would not go back to 135. It was hard enough but I am happy with results.
Bad
During transition my search rank in google was lowered, about 30% less visitors and orders. Before going live make sure that your seo names and other things are 100% x 5 times checked as after google index everything I had many problems, hope this will resolve soon…
one downside with upgrading that I have found is that as CS" is new to me I need some help with finding things etc, getting used to the new layout. BUT as i have no support points it is really frustrating.
I will not pay for support on this new product !
What really annoys me, is that half the people on here say “Yeah upgrade if you want support”
Then the other half stick with the older versions cos tehy are more stable?
I swear, im NEVER using this god awful software ever again!!!

2.08 is coming next week I am sure you will upgrade to it 
I upgraded, but am seriously considering going back to 1.3.5. We have had a HUGE drop in conversion rates (sales/visitors) since we upgraded. I can’t pinpoint the reason for the drop because there were so many changes that occurred all at once. It is painful.
