Why CSCART is the slowest CMS that anyone in the history of earth has done?
Can I see that website that loaded in 2-3 seconds?
Yes, you can.
We can't do that without the permission of the account owner. But you can upload your whole cart to our server to see where the problem is.
I'd be happy if you notice that my problem was reported to cs cart support and I provided full ftp access so they can make sure there are no problems with how I set the store up.

I got a clear response that it is OK for cs cart to load 96 products page for that amount of time and 20 sec add to cart is not a bug as well. That they indeed reload FULL catalogue on each add to cart click.

I used all the suggestions at this link

http://forum.cs-cart…cart-version-3/

I also upped up hosting to the fastest I could.
It deppends also from where you access the site - 12 seconds from your country, 1 second from our country. Then where is the problem?

what?

There is a pingdom.com country. Sadly I can't send his link with 96products per page there. There is no such option in cs cart to force add amount of products into link.

Don't forget there is an option to test the store even locally. Results aren't impressive as well, throwing all the countries and dedicated bull$ out.
What is pingdome. com ? :-) Do you know, how the “thing” works?

Ignorance is sometimes bliss.

As you can see, everyone here try to help you with your issue. It's just your decision if you “want” it, or not…

We have over 5,000 products, and live over 1,100 products. Our site runs fairly smooth.

We use mddhosting.com and a semi dedicated server so maybe that helps, but for 3 years have been happy with CS-Cart.

Russ

Russ, can you please show load time of your catalogue with 96 models per page? And load time of product added to cart from exactly same page.

Thank you.

Guys the wole thing that some of os is trynig to say si that - when the cscart has to show more than 15 Producte per page i tget really really slow and slows down as you show more products, add to cdart on that page is same loading time as page refresh 20-30secs checked and tested on many hostings andf machines, its not about where you are or what is your location. Right now im investigating cs cart mysql quries and it i see it makes dozens if not gazillions totally unneeded queries to db fo disabled features.

Ping with the server is 10ms → Request goes to the server in 10ms → request lives on the server 23Secs → Response header goes back in 12ms

so the problem is not internet connection the problem is how cscart is written and it is done in an optimize-less programming fassion.

i'm experienced php developer and i know what im saying. It could be tweaked instantly and greatly optimized in a few days, but client will loose ability to update new versions and bugfixes.
Hi, so in this case you should conatct CS-Cart developers and provide them with your checks and recommendations. I'm sure they will give you the right answer.

1 image shows homepage 1 shows category ho much slower with 100 products, BUT when using the site the feel of it is much quicker than the 6 seconds as quoted. No real server optimising has been done to this site except some config.local tweaks

So misconception on backed code is obvious now

I have over 30,000 items and prolly around 20,000 categories.

My site was pretty slow until I did some optimization and combining CSS.

Now it loads with about 3-5

you probably from cscart marketing team singing same song on every forum post for seo to pickup such a nonsense,

It's hilarious when person is stating completely oposite of reality (stating 2 seconds load time when reality is 46 seconds), i just made assumption here
