Why CS-Cart? Looks and feel

I love the out of box template, clean and simple.

The inventory control for product options are fantastic, just what I want.

Everything is very easy to get working.

Until you get to shipping. This is one area that needs major attention.

I have the manual shipping working (based on weights only), no problems. This works great for me, My products are very light weight and an order is hardly every over 13oz. this puts me in the USPS first class mail category.

When I try to add another shipping method (free shipping for orders over $50, I can add the method but then it conflicts with the weight shipping method. I get free shipping option choice for orders under $50 and then it keeps the weight based rate in cart for orders over $50.

Very frustrating.

You should add some value for your free shipping method if the total is less than $50. Please refer to this article for details: CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation

Tried that, still no go.

If someone would like to jump in, I can provide login info.

I would really like to use the CS-Cart product, but this shipping issue could be the deal breaker.

For anyone interested, here is what is giving me problems with shipping and cs-cart.

  1. I use weight based manual shipping method. works great wilh all the rate values. no problems.
  2. I want free shipping for orders over a pre-set amount. This conflicts with the weight based shipping. I get the free shipping showing when it is not above the pre-set amount allowing customers to chose it. Not
  3. Store pickup. this has the same issues as free shipping. I dont mind this choice showing if the order is below the free shipping amount and it does and should. but, it wont show if the order is over the free shipping. This makes it impossible to determine weather it ships or is for pickup.



    I hope this helps explain the shipping issues I'm having.

But asking me to pay for support to get shipping to work while evaluating this product for purchase, is not going to work for me.

Maybe a more user friendly feature rich shipping method cart solution is best for me.

I have manual shipping enabled and also store collection, then I have promotion running all the time giving free shipping over a certain amount of spend.
